Official Induction Criteria
1. Significant and Lasting Impact
The nominee must have made a substantial, measurable, and enduring contribution to music in the State of Georgia. Their influence should extend well beyond a single performance, recording, or event and demonstrate a legacy that continues to benefit Georgia's music culture.
2. Years of Service
Nominees should generally possess 20 years or more of documented contributions to Georgia's music industry. Exceptional individuals whose accomplishments are considered historically extraordinary may be considered before twenty years by special vote.
3. Georgia Connection
Nominees must have a strong connection to the State of Georgia. This may include being born or raised in Georgia, residing in the state for a substantial period, building a significant portion of their musical career here, or making extraordinary contributions to Georgia's music industry.
4. Contribution Categories
Nominees may be recognized from any area of the music profession, including but not limited to recording artists, songwriters, musicians, producers, record label executives, artist managers, promoters, booking agents, music educators, radio personalities, venue and studio owners, sound engineers, music publishers, concert producers, instrument builders, historians, and leaders in genres such as gospel, bluegrass, country, rock, pop, R&B, soul, hip-hop, jazz, classical, folk, Americana, Christian, and traditional Georgia music.
